We wish there was someone like Brooke today, representing beauty, brains and a killer body all at once...

BLUSHAHOLIC: LEGENDARY MAGAZINE COVERS


One thing you need to know about us is that here at BLUSH, we just can't get enough of the most avant-garde and zeitgest-ic magazine covers!

The one here in question features the uber-supermodel Kate Moss photographed by Mario Testino. This February 2001 issue marks the arrival of a certain someone named Carine Roitfeld as editor-in-chief. Anyone heard of her?

Sarcasm aside, notice the brilliant juxtaposition of the black and white colours balanced by Moss's ultra cool platinum-haired haircut with dark brown eyebrows - GENIUS!

BLUSH MAGAZINE's official blog has just been launched!

Our mission is pure and simple: make you BLUSH!
Anything that makes our heart stop or makes us tick will be featured: let it be fashion, art, sports, politics, architecture, music - you name it!

But don't fret - we're extremely self-conscious so we're kinda obsessed with all types of beauty and anything that blends into aesthetics. We're just being ourselves - in the most uncontrived type of way. We hope you get inspired and we invite to our Daily Blush Addictions. Feel free to comment!

THE BLUSH UNIVERSE

A FASHION, CULTURE AND ARTS BI-ANNUAL

Blush is not just another fashion magazine. Blush is a bridge between students and professionals that tries merging the two by putting them on the same level. The content of this magazine will actually make you blush. Blushing comes from a thought. For example ‘how come I never had this brilliant idea?’ or ‘these young people are so talented!’.

Blush is not just an another magazine - it has the attributes and the feel of a book-a-like portfolio featuring people who are set to rule the creative worlds in a few years time - be it in fashion, art, architecture, design or even a totally different creative field. These individuals are not afraid to stand out. To us, they can be labeled (although precocious) icons, mavericks, and geniuses, even visionaries in their own right.

By being bi-annual, we don’t have to rush with our themes and concepts - we take our time in developing and bringing them to you in the most interesting form. We don’t need to be on the spot or up-to-date, because our motto is to look forward. We want you to celebrate our book, collect it and show it off to your friends. We want you to feel special because you own it. Blush is not for individuals who only read on the tube or at the hair salon; you’re not going to find us in WHSmith. We are way too self-conscious for that. Look for us in selected bookstores, galleries and boutiques around the world or become a subscriber.

Blush is founded by magazine publishing students coming from different cultural backgrounds, with different views and ideas on the world. As publishing students, they are aware of the current changes happening in the industry, but are able to bring you a product that is totally individualist, niche and crafted with open minded, inspiring, cosmopolitan and eclectic points of views. Look out for a design layout that has been elaborated with a feel for beauty and aesthetics: colour palettes, typography and creative direction. Everything is taken into consideration: because we believe that the only way to draw you into our world is by being perfectionists with the beauty of flaws. Get ready to embark on the next original creative journey. Expect the unexpected.
